Two more years for Fast5 in Auckland

11:50 am on 12 November 2012

Finals night was nowhere near sold out, but New Zealand Netball is describing the inaugural Fast5 series as a huge success.

It was a home town victory as the Fast5 Ferns beat England 23-21 in a hard-fought final, and NZ Netball's chief executive Raelene Castle says they were pleased with the crowd support for the new format, the athletes enjoyed themselves, and Auckland's Vector arena will again host the tournament for the next two years, at about the same time.

Castle says although the inaugural tournament broke even, they're likely to reduce ticket prices next year to encourage bigger crowds.
