The veteran West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul hit his second test match double century to lead his side to 527 for four declared on day two of the first test against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Chanderpaul's unbeaten 203 took him level with the great Gary Sobers on 26 test centuries, while Denesh Ramdin struck an unbeaten 126.

Bangladesh made an aggressive reply to reach 164 for three at stumps on the second day.
