Argentina have been dealt a blow going into this weekend's rugby test against France with the news that their veteran first five Felipe Contepomi has been ruled out for up to four months with a knee ligament injury.

The 35-year-old suffered the injury early in the Pumas' 26-12 win over Wales last weekend in Cardiff.

Contepomi had been recalled to test duty having missed the Pumas' inaugural southern hemisphere Rugby Championship campaign.
