Ko mentioned as contender for Laureus Breakout award

New Zealand's teenage golf sensation Lydia Ko has been mentioned as a possible contender for the Laureus Breakout of the Year Award.

Ko is among a list of 15 sportspeople dominated by Olympians who have mentioned as contenders for the award.

The 15-year-old became the youngest golfer to win a professional event this year and also became the youngest winner on the LPGA tour.

Olympic shot putter Valerie Adams is a contender for the sportswoman award.
