Tietjens names 22-man training squad

The New Zealand rugby sevens coach Gordon Tietjens has named a 22-man training squad to prepare for the next two rounds of the new IRB world series.

The squad includes the experienced DJ Forbes, Tomasi Cama, Lote Raikabula and Sherwin Stowers.

Kurt Baker has also been included, but will miss this weekend's training camp at Mount Maunganui as he's away with the Maori All Blacks.

Toby Arnold and Mark Jackman weren't considered because of injury.

New Zealand are the defending world series champions and lost to Fiji in the final of the opening round on the Gold Coast last month.

Round two is in Dubai at the end of this month with South Africa a week later.
