England rebuff Wales offer for World Cup match

The England Rugby Union has rejected an offer from Wales to have their 2015 Rugby World Cup pool match played in Cardiff.

As the host nation England were drawn in the same group as Wales, prompting the Welsh to suggest the encounter should take place at the Millennium Stadium, which will be the venue for up to eight matches at the tournament.

But England's chief executive Ian Ritchie said tongue in cheek they'd prefer to tackle Wales at their own very nice home ground, which is currently undergoing a $90 million upgrade.
