Nelson triathlete Britta Martin has won Ironman Western Australia, overcoming an eight-minute deficit out of the water to earn the breakthrough victory.
The German-born Martin overtook multi-Ironman winner Rebekah Keat just three kilometres from the end of the marathon run to claim victory in nine hours and 13 minutes.
