Dutch police say they have arrested three more teenagers and a man in connection with the shock death last week of a linesman who was assaulted after a junior football match.

Two 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old and a 50-year old man have been arrested, joining the original four players who were arrested following the assault which has shocked the football-mad Netherlands.

Last weekend thousand of people marched in silence to pay their respects to 41 year old Richard Nieuwenhuizen, who was laid to rest on Monday, having officiated two days earlier in a match in which his own son had played.
