Spurs up to fourth after beating Swansea

Tottenham Hotspur have returned to the top four of the English Premier football league after a 1-0 win at home over a stubborn Swansea City.

The former Ajax defender, Belgian Jan Vertonghen broke the deadlock in the 75th minute with his first goal for the London club.

Spurs are up to fourth place, level on 29 points with third-placed Chelsea, who have a game in hand.

Manchester United are six points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
