Turner says he'll be involved in former captains meeting

Following New Zealand Cricket's call for a meeting of former national captains in the New Year, one former captain says he's interested in the idea.

The move comes as New Zealand Cricket hopes to open better lines of communication, following the Ross Taylor debacle.

Mindful of the criticism in recent weeks, some of which has come from former international players, the national body plans to invite former captains to attend the meeting - which is intended to be an annual event.

And former captain Glenn Turner, who's now a talent scout for New Zealand Cricket, says he'll be going as any discussion will be good.

A reunion of former players is already scheduled to be held during the third test against England in March.
