New Zealand V8 SuperTourers series forced to make changes

The New Zealand V8 SuperTourers series has been forced to reschedule its 2013 season to avoid clashing with the Australasian V8 Supercar series.

Competition managing director Mark Petch says all four of the North Island circuits have bookings up to a year out so it's been difficult to find weekend dates that don't clash with the Australian Supercars race dates.

Petch says they have made a commitment to teams that their events won't clash in order to continue to attract some of the leading drivers, such as Greg Murphy.

He says the planned Manfeild event clashed with the Australasian competition but as they had to make bookings a year ago there was always going to be a potential conflict of dates.
