Top seed unfazed by late arrival at ASB classic

7:42 pm on 30 December 2012

The top seed at the ASB tennis classic in Auckland, Agnieska Radwanska, isn't fazed by having less time than most of her opponents to acclimatise.

The Polish star only arrived yesterday for the tournament, which gets underway tomorrow, but the world number four says with her opening match on Tuesday, she will be ready.

Radwanska's scheduled French opponent Kristina Mladenovic was forced to withdraw today with a wrist injury and the Pole is

equally philosophical about facing an unknown qualifier in her opener.

The last New Zealander left in the qualifying tournament has lost to the 2011 champion Greta Arn in straight sets - the 33-year-old Hungarian beat Wanganui's Emma Hayman 6-3 6-2 on centre court.
