The Melbourne Stars Twenty20 cricket side have beaten the Sydney Thunder by 13 runs to qualify for next week's Big Bash League semi-finals.
Stars captain, Shane Warne, watched the game following his one match suspension in the wake of his physical confrontation with Melbourne Renegades' batsman Marlon Samuels in Sunday's Melbourne derby.
The Stars scored 145 for 8 and the Thunder completed a win-less season with a score of 132 all out.
