The All Whites winger Marco Rojas is on the radar of European football clubs Liverpool and Juventus, according to Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper.
Rojas, who plays for the Melbourne Victory, will line up against Sydney FC on Saturday, with scouts from the English and Italian clubs reportedly in attendance.
The report suggests if the 21-year-old Rojas impresses, he could receive offers as early as next week.
However both the club and his father and manager Rodi Rojas say they've heard nothing officially and at this stage are assuming it's just media hype.
Neither party wanted Marco Rojas to comment and the coach Ange Postecoglou says he doesn't want to give it any oxygen.
Rojas' contract with the Victory expires at the end of the season.
