The Waikato bowler Phil Bennett has eliminated the defending champion England's Andy Thomson, in the first round of the World Indoor champs in Norfolk.
It's Bennett's fifth World Bowls Tour event but only his first win.
He'll play another Englishman in the second round on Friday.
