It's been a long haul back, but Michael Campbell is New Zealand's top ranked golfer again.

The fortunes of the 2005 US Open champion had dived so dramatically he disappeared off the official rankings radar at one stage, but after a second straight top-20 finish in the Middle East, Campbell's risen another 25 places to 239th, three places ahead of Texas-based Danny Lee.

Michael Hendry is the third-ranked New Zealander at 256.
