Three NZ cricketers picked up in IPL auction

Jesse Ryder, Nathan McCullum and Jacob Oram have all been picked up in the player auction for the latest edition of the Indian Premier League cricket competition.

Ryder has been bought by the Delhi Daredevils for 308 thousand dollars, McCullum went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 118 thousand dollars and Oram to the Mumbai Indians for 60 thousand dollars.

The highest bid was for the Australian allrounder Glen Maxwell who was picked up by the John Wright coached Mumbai Indians for 1.2 million dollars.

Most of the games leading players including Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor and Daniel Vettori are already on existing contracts.

Martin Guptil and Scott Styris weren't picked up.
