The Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has won the Allan Border Medal for player of the year for the fourth time.

Clarke's incredible year in Test cricket gave him the edge ahead of Mike Hussey and Shane Watson.

Clarke joins former captain Ricky Ponting as a 4-time winner.

The Australian captain was named Test player of the year.

Watson was the runaway winner of the T20 cricketer of the year award, with Clint McKay named ODI player of the year.

There were two inductees to the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame - paceman Charlie Turner, who took 101 Test wickets for Australia in the late 1800s, and Glenn McGrath.
