Sophie Hart has won the women's one-day Coast to Coast while Braden Currie is the men's one day champion.
After finishing third last year, Currie arrived at Sumner Beach in Christchurch soon after five o'clock on Saturday in a time of 11 hours and six minutes.
Sophie Hart crossed the line in a time of 12 hours and 36 minutes 35 minutes ahead Elina Ussher in second place.
Five-time champion Richard Ussher finished second six minutes behind Currie.
The one-day event, also known as the longest day, involved competitors leaving Kumara Beach on the West Coast this morning and traversing the Southern Alps before finishing at Sumner.
The two-day men's race, which began yesterday, was won by Seamus Meikle from Greymouth.
The two-day women's winner was Jess Simson.
