The Football Association and England Footballers' Foundation have donated $75,000 to help Paul Gascoigne beat his alcohol addiction.

The former England star was admitted to intensive care at the weekend after suffering complications to his treatment.

The 45-year-old has an on-going battle with alcoholism and was being treated in an Arizona clinic after a relapse.

The current England squad are among those donating money to help Gascoigne.
