Richard Kahui says his focus is on winning another title with the Chiefs rather than preparing himself for life in Japan.

The 17-test All Black has signed a two-year deal with Toshiba which starts at the end of the Super Rugby season.

The Chiefs coach Dave Rennie says he's bitterly dissapointed Kahui won't be around next year, but the 27-year-old says he's committed to making his last season at the Chiefs one to remember.

He says a string of serious injuries has convinced to take up the lucrative oveseas offer while he still can, but he says he hasn't closed the door on returning to play in the next world cup.

Kahui says his contract with Toshiba finishes at the beginning of 2015 - which is World Cup year.
