The Australian cricketers comfortably avoided an innings loss after being forced to follow-on in their three day match against India A in Chennai.
In their final match before the first test starting on Friday, Australia were dismissed for 235 in their first innings, but found better form in their second innings to end the match on 195 for three.
Meanwhile their skipper Michael Clarke and opening batsman David Warner are still recovering from hamstring and thumb injuries.
