The Chiefs hooker Mahonri Schwalger and prop Ben Tameifuna are returning home from South Africa.
Schwalger has failed to recover from a knee injury and Tameifuna is returning on family bereavement.
Rhys Marshall and Michael Kainga have flown to South Africa as replacements.
The Chiefs were beaten by the Stormers at the weekend and play the Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday morning.
