The New Zealand Rugby Union has decided to reinstate Zac Guildford to professional rugby and the Crusaders.
Guildford has admitted he's an alcoholic.
The 24-year-old was suspended in January after he allegedly punched a party goer in Christchurch.
Guildford has received treatment for his addiction and will return to the ranks of the Crusaders.
Following a misconduct hearing this week, the Rugby Union says Guildford's return to rugby comes with several conditions that both parties have agreed will remain confidential.
Guildford says he's hugely grateful to be given another opportunity to show he's serious about getting his life in order.
