Burling and Tuke keen for gold bid in Rio

The New Zealand sailors Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, who won a silver medal in the 49er class at the London Olympics, have confirmed they intend competing at the Rio Games in 2016.

The pair have taken their time in confirming their Rio bid, sailing a variety of different boats since their London campaign.

Tuke says it's not a decision they've taken lightly as they've had a number of professional sailing opportunities.

But having won a silver medal they're keen to go one better and Tuke says their friendship off the water has played a big part in their success.

New Zealand's gold medal winning 470 crew of Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie confirmed in December their intention to compete in Rio.
