NZ crews win seven medals at Sydney World Cup

New Zealand rowing teams have won five golds, one silver, and two bronze medals at the first regatta of the international season in Sydney.

Duncan Grant was the first to medal for New Zealand with gold in the lightweight single scull at the World Cup series, then the men's double scull of Michael Arms and Robbie Manson added to the tally, winning in a time of 6:15.87.

The lightweight women's double crew of Lucy Strack and Julia Edward finished first place in a time of 6:58.15

Another gold was won by the women's double of Zoe Stevenson and Fiona Bourke, who took out their final in 6:56.93.

And the men's lightweight four of Curtis Rapley, Peter Taylor, James Hunter and James Lassche took gold in a time of 5:58.98.
