Nine-time world motorcycle champion Valentino Rossi capitalised on a drying track to top the time charts on the second day of MotoGP testing at Jerez, edging Yamaha factory teammate Jorge Lorenzo.
Rossi put in 39 laps and recorded a best time just ahead of reigning world champion Lorenzo, who was fastest.
Yamaha Tech3's Cal Crutchlow filled out the top three.
The third and final day of testing is overnight with the 2013 season getting underway in Qatar on April 13th.
