The Canterbury Wizards have beaten the Wellington Firebirds by 61 runs in the preliminary final of the domestic one day cricket competition in Christchurch.
Canterbury won the toss and elected to bat, but was bowled out for just 198 in the 45th over.
Tom Latham top scored for the Wizards with 44, Scott Kuggeleijn was the best of the Firebirds' bowlers taking 3 for 41.
In reply Wellington were all out 137 after 42 overs.
Grant Elliot hit 62 for the visitors, while the Canterbury bowler Matt Henry took 4 for 14.
Canterbury now faces Auckland in Sunday's grand final at Eden Park.
