The Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke is back home after an overnight stay in a Sydney hospital suffering from gastroenteritis.

Clarke had arrived home from Australia's tumultuous Test tour of India with a back complaint, and he was released from hospital on Monday.

He's expected to spend the next 10 weeks recovering from his back problem, and will miss the Indian Premier League to focus on being fit for the Champions Trophy and Ashes series in England.
