David Hussey's international career appears over after he was left off Cricket Australia's contracted players' list for the next year.
The 35-year-old Hussey has played 69 one-dayers and 39 Twenty20s for Australia and held out a slight hope of making the Test squad for the upcoming back-to-back Ashes series.
But with Hussey unlikely to make the Test squad, and Australia focusing on youth ahead of the 2015 one-day World Cup, he's been dropped from the 20-man Cricket Australia A contract list announced today.
The former skipper Ricky Ponting and fellow veteran Mike Hussey drop off the contract list after retiring from international ranks last summer.
