The former Silver Ferns shooter Donna Wilkins says she'd like to see umpires get more power to rule on the increasing physicality in netball.
Wilkins was in the thick of the action for the Pulse in their trans-Tasman clash with Queensland at the weekend, she was felled by a hip in the lower back from Laura Geitz.
Wilkins says you have to expect the physicality to be there, especially in the circle, but she didn't expect that.
She believes the umpires need to have more power to call on foul play and possibly even include an extra official.
