The late New Zealand motor racing driver Jason Richards will be honoured with the trophy for the Auckland round of the Australasian V8 Supercar to bear his name.
The Jason Richards Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the driver with the best combined results over the four races at the Pukekohe event next week.
Richards, who died of cancer 16 months ago, had one win in the V8 Supercar Championship and was a three-time podium finisher at the Bathurst 1000.
