Warriors coach wants more poise from players

The New Zealand Warriors coach Matt Elliot says despite being pipped by South Sydney yesterday, his side is improving.

South Sydney remain unbeaten on top of the National Rugby League table after beating the Warriors by only two points with a late try after the home side mounted a dramatic second half turnaround yesterday in Auckland.

The Warriors are one of four teams at the bottom of the table with only one win but the coach Matt Elliot says yesterday's effort is evidence that the team is getting better.

Elliot says he would like his players to show more poise in pressure situations but is pleased they didn't give up.
