St George Illawarra's New Zealand league fullback Gerard Beale is expected to miss the rest of the National Rugby League season following confirmation that he's re-ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
It is a devastating blow for 22-year-old Beale, who was considered a strong chance to feature for the Kiwis in this month's test match against Australia in Canberra, as well as the upcoming World Cup.
Beale joined the Dragons this year after four seasons with the Broncos.
