Netball disciplinary process not toothless: ANZ Champ boss

6:57 am on 11 April 2013

Despite a series of comments by players and coaches criticising inconsistency in the level of umpiring in the trans-Tasman competition, officials have ruled there's been no breach of the competition's code of conduct.

The lastest comment criticising the umpiring came in the contoversial loss by defending champions the Waikato Bay of Plenty of Magic to the West Coast Fever in Perth.

After the match Silver Ferns shooter Irene van Dyk said the Fever defenders were over physical and the umpires let them get away with murder.

The competition's general manager Andy Crook has issued a general reminder to teams about their obligations, but that doesn't mean the disciplinary process is toothless.
