Mystics get a win, Fever crush Swifts

7:31 am on 22 April 2013

The Northern Mystics are finally on the board in the trans-Tasman netball championship with a 69-68 cliffhanger win over the Central Pulse, in extra time in Auckland.

Cathrine Latu's 45 from 45 was the difference while fellow Silver Fern Maria Tutaia could only finish three quarters of her goal attempts for the Mystics.

Former international Donna Wilkins was much better for the Pulse at 90 percent accuracy, while Australian star Caitlin Thwaites was even better at 91 percent.

Elsewhere, the West Coast Fever ensured an all-Australian top four with a 71-51 hammering of the New South Wales Swifts in Perth.

That will change if the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic get up over the Canterbury Tactix tonight in Tauranga.
