The Bulls are now top of the South African conference in Super Rugby after scoring a 34-0 win over the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth.
The Bulls led 20-0 at half-time and scored four tries.
The Cheetahs are second after their 12-6 win over previous leaders the Sharks in Durban.
The Cheetahs grabbed the win with a late try from an intercept, when the Sharks thought they still were under advantage from the referee.
