Peptide link to player death possible

An independent report into the use of supplements at National Rugby League club Cronulla says there may be a causal link between the use of peptides and player Jon Mannah's cancer relapse.

Mannah died from Hodgkin's lymphoma earlier this year, aged 23.

The Sharks were implicated due to their connection with controversial sports scientist Stephen Dank, who worked briefly with the club in 2011.

Cronulla chairman Glenn Coleman says his club sympathises with the Mannah family and continues to co-operate with the Australian anti-doping agency ASADA.
