New Zealand riders Jonathon Paget and Andrew Nicholson are in hot contention for the Badminton Horse trial title, sitting second and 4th overall respectively after today's cross country.
Paget on Clifton Promise and Nicholson on Nereo both went clear.
Paget is 3.7 penalty points or one showjumping rail behind Michael Jung of Germany, while Nicholson is 4.2 penalty points off the lead.
Nicholson is also 8th on Avebury and Paget 14th on Clifton Lush.
