The Australian golfer Brett Rumford is celebrating the form of his life having pulled off back-to-back titles on the Asian swing of the European tour.

Eight days after winning the Ballantine's championship in South Korea, 37 year old Rumford cruised to a four stroke win last night at the China Open, shooting four rounds in the 60s.

In a remarkable eight days, Rumford has banked over a million US dollars and soared up the world rankings from 253 to the mid-80s.

The back-to-back victories come after a winless run of nearly six years.

New Zealand's Michael Hendry shot two 75s at the weekend to finish in a tie for 55th.
