The Springboks' centre Francois Steyn is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a leg injury during the Sharks Super rugby loss to the Highlanders in Dunedin at the weekend.
It's understood x-rays showed no fracture, but Steyn was said to be in excruciating pain.
He has had one operation, but needs another one today.
The Sharks have said on their website the extent of Steyn's injury will be revealed in time.
