The Wellington triathlete Kate McIlroy has finished ninth at the latest world series event in Yokohama.
The race was won by the series leader from the United States Gwen Jorgensen.
After three events McIlroy is 7th over all with with five races left this season.
Great Britain's Jonathan Brownlee won the men's race, with Ryan Sissons the best placed New Zealander in 14th.
