A dominant final quarter has propelled the Southern Steel to a 73-63 victory over the Northern Mystics in their trans-tasman netball clash in Auckland.
The Mystics started with Bailey Mes at goal shoot ahead of Catherine Latu, while Grace Rasmussen, Erikana Pederson and Kayla Cullen were the midcourt and they held their own during the first half and led by 1 at the break.
However the Steel started to take control in the third quarter and captain Jodi Brown and the dominance of shooter Jhaniele Fowler got them home.
The Steel move up to 4th.
Also last night the Adelaide Thunderbirds beat the West Coast Fever 49-47 to stay top.
Tonight the Magic play the Pulse in Hamilton.
