Bracewell hopeful for Lord's appearance

New Zealand pace bowler Doug Bracewell is not convinced he's done enough to force his way into the attack for the first Test against England at Lord's.

Bracewell took two wickets on the final day of the rain-affected draw with England A in Leicester to take his tally to nine for the tour.

New Zealand are likely to take three pace bowlers into the Test with Trent Boult and the injured Tim Southee expected to be selected, leaving Bracewell vying with Neil Wagner for the final spot.

Bracewell admits he was disappointed with his performance in the warm-up match and says he will have to work hard in training to prove he deserves to be picked.

Doug Bracewell has never played at Lord's and is hopeful the coach Mike Hesson names him to play at the historic ground on Thursday.
