Worst case scenario for Kahui is that Japan move is off

The All Blacks and Chiefs centre Richard Kahui says it's likely to be another week before he knows if Japanese club Toshiba still want him, after his latest shoulder operation.

Kahui signed a two year deal with the Japanse club in February and was due to head there after the Super rugby competition.

But after suffering another shoulder injury a couple of weeks ago he's recently undergone the fifth shoulder surgery of his career.

His surgeon says it will take four to six months to recover and Kahui's unsure what that means for his move to Japan and accepts the worst case scenario is that the contract could be terminated.
