Cleveland Cavaliers get first choice NBA draft pick

The Cleveland Cavaliers have nabbed the number one selection in next month's NBA basketball draft, winning the draft lottery for the second time in three years.

Orlando Magic, gained the second choice and the Washington Wizards the third selection for the draw, which will be held late next month.

Meanwhile basketball great Michael Jordan wants to re-name the Charlotte NBA side the the Hornets.

The first NBA club in Charlotte was named the Hornets and played in the city from 1988 until 2002 before the franchise was moved to New Orleans in 2002.

Two years later the league awarded the expansion Bobcats franchise to Charlotte.

But New Orleans has re-named itself the Pelicans and Jordan, who's Charlotte's majority shareholder, wants to bring the Hornets name back.
