The test batsman David Warner has promised to choose his words more carefully after being fined nearly 7-thousand dollars for breaching Cricket Australia's code of behaviour.
The multi-millionaire cricketer launched into News Limited journalists Robert Craddock and Malcolm Conn on Twitter on Saturday in response to an article published by Craddock which was critical of the Indian Premier League.
Warner's fine was the maximum allowed for a first offence under rule the code of behaviour, regarding unbecoming behaviour.
Warner says in hindsight, he let his frustrations get the better of him and posted some inappropriate tweets with frequent use of bad language.
The Australian Test skipper Michael Clarke and Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland say Warner will remain in contention for possible captaincy honours in the future.
