The New Zealand runner Nick Willis will lineup in a classy mile field at the Prefontaine Classic meeting in Oregan in just over a week.

The iconic Bowerman Mile annually closes the meeting and this year it includes two Olympic champions, along with Willis who won silver in the 1500 metres in 2008.

Taoufik Makhloufi of Algeria and Asbel Kiprop and Silas Kiplagat of Kenya headline the field.

The Bowerman Mile is a cornerstone of the Prefontaine Classic, named in honour of legendary Oregon coach Bill Bowerman, who was also a co-founder of Nike.
