Kanaan breaks through at Indy 500

The 38-year-old Brazilian IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan is celebrating his first Indianapolis 500 win, at his 12th attempt.

Kanaan took the title when the race finished under caution.

The 21-year-old Colombian rookie Carlos Munoz was second on debut, and American Ryan Hunter-Reay finished third of the 33 drivers who started the 200-lap race.

New Zealand's Scott Dixon finished 14th.
