The New Zealand tennis player Dan King-Turner has confirmed that he's retiring from the professional circuit.

King-Turner reached a career high ATP singles ranking of 217 in July 2010.

The 29-year-old says that after a number of years on the circuit that it's now time to try other things in life.

King-Turner says being able to pursue his dream and play professional tennis, as well as represent his nation in the Davis Cup, was something remarkable.

He says while of course you want to get your ranking higher and win bigger events, in truth he did the best he could and he has no regrets.
